Where’s Naomi?

A number of people, who have been following our Blog, have commented that they never seem to see or hear of Naomi. Someone even suggested she may have missed the flight from New Zealand!

She is definitely here. She has been doing a fantastic, and tiring, job of earning money for our overseas adventure. She’s been working in several different London hospitals. I have worked five days a week for most of the last seven years or so while Naomi has been home with the kids or worked a day or so a week. So we decided it was my turn to be with the children. I had been a house-dad for the first two years of Joel’s life…and loved it. As I am now.

In reality she has worked about half the days we’ve been over here – taking a week or so off when family came over from New Zealand around Matt and Char’s wedding; and our first few weeks in London while we were catching up with friends and family and getting ourselves sorted.

The last three days she has left the house at 7.00am and returned around midnight to 1.00am, managed a few hours of sleep and then off again. Right now the kids are drawing up a poster saying, “Welcome back Mum!” as they’ll get to see her at bedtime tonight.

Below I have added photographic evidence to prove that she is with us in London!

The family at the Tate Modern. Luka has been put in 'time-out' by Naomi (who is just to the left of the photo) until she realised that Luka had not drawn all over the wall - it was in fact a very expensive piece of 'modern art'. As I was creating this blog post Joel looked at this picture and said, "That's not art, that's just scribble!" Very discerning, my lad.
Naomi putting some touches on a Christmas gingerbread house at our friends' place in Hampstead, London.

We’ve been missing her the last few days and we’re looking forward to seeing some more of her.

  1. hmmmm, still suspicious....
"naomi having a cup of coffee" - could be anywhere, in fact, don't you have a coffee mug like that at home...?!!
and gingerbread houses - i've seen gingerbread houses in NZ too. hmmmmm. "Naomi is just to the left of the photo" - hmmmm, uh-huh, maybe.
we demand to see a photo of Naomi standing beside/in front of an unmistakeably London landmark. :D (and I've seen a double decker bus in NZ so don't think you can pull a swifty there!) Big Ben, or the houses of parliament, or an Underground station, or something like that - then we'll believe you! :)
    awesome posts - enjoying it.
